Salary: Competitive

Hours of Work: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

The Workshop Manager Role:

As Workshop Manager you will be responsible for the operational management of the workshop, ensuring work is distributed to technicians and that our products are inspected, maintained, repaired and delivered accordingly on a day to day basis.

You will work at the heart of our operation and it is your job to ensure that our products leave your workshop ready for optimum performance. Technical competence will be paramount with workshop responsibilities to include PDI, service, maintenance and repair of diesel and petrol generators, garden machinery and power equipment.

As Workshop Manager you will drive efficiency and quality by leading a team to achieve departmental KPIs, high levels of customer service and technical ability. You will represent Genpower to a large base of customer clientele and provide technical information and service support on a daily basis. Between 8am and 5pm you will also interface and network with other departments to aid operation and fulfil work schedule.

Overall, this is a demanding role which will provide a challenging workload alongside great long-term career prospects.

Workshop Manager Requirements:

Strong mechanical knowledge (5+ years' experience).
Previous experience working on a large range of power equipment, to include generators, garden machinery and power tools (highly desirable)
Be able to manage, motivate and inspire a team
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
Display great commercial awareness.
Possess and use hands on engineering skills.
Have fantastic organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
Display excellent quality control skills and work to improve quality problems.
Excellent communication skills.
