Electrical Maintenance Engineer required for one of our largest and most prestigious clients who specialises in managing complex assets and infrastructure. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with at least 2-3 years recent experience coupled with a BTEC/ NVQ L3 Electrical / Electronic Engineering or HMC or HMD in Electrical Engineering to join a larger team of Maintenance Engineers based in Cardiff. Experience of planned and reactive maintenance in either industrial or a commercial environment is also essential coupled with experience of HS&E safe systems of work, sub-contractor coordination and control. You must also have a full UK driver's license with a willingness to undertake further qualifications if not currently held (gas safe, forklift and IPAF etc.)

Electrical Maintenance Engineer: Key Technical Skills / competencies:

Proven track record of contributions for FM/ PPM services
Knowledge of current IEE regulations is desirable
Experience of maintaining, fault diagnosis and rectification of mechanical plant and PLC based electronic control systems
IT literate MS Office applications and bespoke FM / PPM management systems
Experience of HS&E safe systems of work, sub-contractor coordination and control
Electrical Maintenance Engineer: Main Tasks and Activities:

Contributing with the day to day facilities and maintenance function by delivering effective reactive and planned maintenance across the site.
Assist the Facilities & Maintenance Team Leader in all aspects associated with establishing legislative and operational compliance with HS&E, Quality and Information Assurance
Undertake duties associated with operational security, implementation, enforcement and policing of safe working systems for the coordination and control of site activities, direct and indirect
Undertake duty contributions for the delivery of the FM / PPM function for preventative, corrective maintenance and coordination of support activities in accordance with annual training plans
Support the Facilities & Maintenance Team Leader with the development of processes and procedures to deliver an effective and efficient function, in respect to the development, implementation and maintenance of SOP's and Risk Assessments
Assist the Facilities & Maintenance Team Leader by performing activities as required and defined by the site Maintenance Management System
Assist the Facilities & Maintenance Team Leader establish and maintain an inventory of critical spares, plant, equipment, tools, fixtures and fittings in compliance with PUWER, LOLER
Undertake duties in accordance with site procedures for efficient and effective handover with Security Representatives at the start and end of duties
Attend and contribute towards operational meetings and forms as and when required
Undertake responsibilities in accordance with the Site Annual Activity Plan

Working Monday to Friday split shifts
Monday to Thursday 7am-3pm and Friday 7am-2.30pm
Following week and rotated each week
Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm and Friday 10.30-6pm
You will work some weekends-typically one weekend per month paid as over time which is time and a half
