Repairs Service Advisor - Fixed Term Contract for 6 months

Based at Newport Road, Cardiff

37 Hours Per Week

Can you provide outstanding repair advice & customer service in a fast-paced environment?

Linc is a registered social landlord operating across 10 local authority areas in South Wales, providing high quality social housing to local communities. We also provide Extra Care accommodation and Nursing Homes for residents.

This is an exciting time as we make changes to the way we deliver our reactive repairs service for our tenants and residents. No two days will be the same and you must be able to juggle multiple tasks at once.

About the role...

You will be responsible for speaking with our tenants, contractors and third parties in relation to all repairs and maintenance queries. Our Repairs Service Advisors act as the first point of contact for our customers via telephone and digital communication channels to handle all repairs.

The role includes the diagnosing of repair issues from the information provided by our tenants, preparing a specification and determining the most appropriate schedule of rate code to use that allow the works to be planned appropriately for our Contractors.

Liaising with our Contractors and the scheduling team for the trades people, you will be arranging appointments at the point of contact with our tenants.

Logging repairs within our internal systems will be a frequent activity, so a high degree of IT literacy and accuracy is an essential requirement of the job!

A cool head will be needed at all times as you must be able to prioritise conflicting demands. Also, sometimes managing challenging situations with initiative and confidence.

About you....

We are looking for positive attitude that will always deliver a positive customer experience.

Understanding and experience of a repair and maintenance environment is essential; ideally in a social housing or Contractor setting.

Knowledge of operating systems such as scheduling, repairs management, and diagnostics is also an essential requirement for this role, as is the understanding of the Schedule of Rates.
