About the company:
One of the new kids on the block looking to transform the fintech industry. They are focussed on disruption to the current industry, offering a range of products to help with any financial need possible.

Still considered a startup, they now have over 200,000 customers and are growing rapidly. They cover both personal and business requirements and have a ever-changing portfolio of products to meet customer needs.

Due to the nature of their business, they are looking for an Information Security Officer to join their team and help them to create the security controls, policies and technology to keep their data (and their customers) as safe and secure as possible.

About you
As a company, they love employees to take accountability for their work, to feel empowered to make decisions autonomously and they are looking for a security focussed candidate to take this forward as the company evolves.

You will be a security enthusiast and take pride from improving a company's security capabilities; from a policy, process and technological perspective. As well as all the fun changes from a policy perspective you will be the focal point for security within the company moving forward. You'll be able to help create a security culture within the organisation, teach users about best practice and create new ideas to improve the company security structure.

They aren't looking for the finished article with 20 years of GRC experience and implementation; they appreciate that as the company evolves, the role will too and are open to candidates on the more junior side' who are looking to break into a fully focussed Information Security role.

What you'll be doing
Due to the nature of the company and the products they create, they need to comply with multiple regulations within the financial industry. They've got the majority of these covered internally but are looking for someone who can take ownership of everything InfoSec related and help them to become ISO and PCI compliant.

You will be the first security hire within the organisation so, what you do will ultimately be decided by you (as long as it matches the strategy of the company!). You will be able to create an ISMS, implement new systems, new procedures and new policies to create the securest environment possible for the internal users and the external customer base.

You'll be working towards the ISO27001 and PCI-DSS certifications and be the focal point for any security issues with any internal projects.

What we're looking for
Someone who loves security, who's good at what they do and able to take on a leadership style voice within the company. We're not asking you to lead 100s of colleagues but be able to assess everything security related within the company and work with the senior management team to help implement these changes;
* Ideally a good level of experience within an InfoSec / IT Security focussed role.
* Experience working within an ISO27001 and PCI-DSS environment. Ideally you'll have implement policies to achieve these accreditations but if not, don't worry, as long as you've got a good level of knowledge and able to advise on how to achieve these then we're happy to chat to you.
* Ideally experience creating an ISMS; ability to create new security policies and procedures for users and technology.
* Any certificates you've got within the GRC space (CISM, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Auditor, CRISC etc) would be great. If not, don't worry, for us it's more about the individual / experience rather than certificates.
