Job Purpose

Operating as Group Indirect Buyer, you will be involved in various categories of indirect purchasing in order to successfully deliver sourcing benefits within an autonomous role remit.

Role Key Accountabilities
  • Deliver results in key performance areas including cost management, market and financial forecast accuracy, process improvements, innovation and alignment with internal stakeholders.
  • Creating and implementing sourcing strategies in line with group procurement objectives.
  • Identification of process improvement opportunities and promoting procurement best practice.
  • Develop expertise within the organisation around specific supply markets, as well as technological and economic changes that impact those markets.
  • Liaising cross functionally with a diverse internal community e.g. R&D, NPD, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing – expanding procurements remit and developing its profile.
  • Delivering purchasing cost saving, quality, flexibility and strategic vendor relationships.
  • Identification of new suppliers, delivering innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships.
  • Continuously review industry and peer best practices, educate our organisation about them, and develop plans to implement those that provide a competitive advantage to Finsbury.

 Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  •  Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of working in procurement in a similar industry
  • Membership status of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (Full Member or above).
  • Proven influencing and negotiation skills and familiarity with relevant markets
  • Experienced in change management and successes; as well as to effectively build a team.
  • Motivated, self- directed and detail orientated
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously & to develop priorities for self and members of staff.
  • Procurement categories include, but not limited to utilities, distribution, IT related services, facilities management and office services (Telecoms, furniture, cleaning , catering , printers ), capital goods, PPE etc
