MPI have a requirement for an Aircraft Mechanical Technician for a permanent role on site at RAF Valley.

This role is working nights Mon -Thursday 11.00pm - 09.00am

Paying £23,937.00 per annum + shift bonus of £7,300

Job Description:-
Individual Technicians will be employed on a night shift pattern and will provide much needed flexibility by operating in support of the flying task during the heaviest periods of flying. They will also be available to undertake OOP maintenance tasks during turnarounds and to assist aircrew with crew-in rectification. The actions and decisions taken shall be limited to those actions authorised as governed by trade, experience and competence.
Undertake and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on an aircraft or components which may include, as appropriate, Aircraft Ground Handling, flight servicing, aircraft role changes, AD embodiments, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test
Reviews operational performance of aircraft components & systems. Analyse and diagnose faults to components & assemblies, apply diagnostic skills & knowledge to effect repairs or modify equipment or suggest improvements to procedures.
Ensure that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve any issues, escalate as required.

Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or Military equivalent apprenticeship / qualifications and hold a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or NVQ Level 3 Aeronautical related discipline.
What else do I need to know?
The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
