Acorn Recruitment is searching for a Quality Engineer to join a client, a manufacturer of technical products, based in Flint.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the main purpose of the role will be to coordinate all activities required to meet quality standards.

Working closely with the production and engineering departments, the successful candidate will be required to identify and improve quality issues, reduce expense and failed customer interactions whilst ensuring that the product is fit for purpose and meets both internal and external requirements including legal compliance and customer expectation.

Duties will include:

*Ensuring regular auditing is carried out internally as required, ensuring adherence
to company standards and compliance with business accreditations.
*Continually monitoring and reporting internal rejections and customer complaints, to
instigate root cause and corrective action to promote waste reduction and
continuous improvement.
*Reviewing and setting quality standards within the production area.
*Reviewing, investigating and resolving customer complaints, visiting the customer
where necessary.
*Reviewing, updating, maintaining and improving the Quality documentation
and Database.
*Liaising with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external
suppliers, including site visits for auditing and approval.

To be successful in this role you will have:

* A minimum 5 years' experience working in a Quality role.
* Certificate/Diploma in quality management.
* Knowledge of the application and development of processes to international.
management system standards including ISO9001: 2015.
* Training / education certificates related with ISO / quality.
* Proven experience of using lean tools e.g. six sigma, 8d and 5 why's.
* Knowledge of the OHSAS18001 would be beneficial
* A background in technically engineered products
* Experience in engineering or manufacturing environment.

This position will be a 40 hour working week.

Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
