An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Auditor to join a well-established, progressive manufacturer based in South Wales. The company have a growing product base which is supplied to various companies throughout the UK. The role is a days' based position working Monday-Friday office hours.

The Role
Reporting into the Quality Manager, the Quality Auditor will strive to ensure smooth running of quality operations to meet customer demands in a time efficient manner.
Duties will include:

* Work to maintain quality within a fast paced manufacturing environment

* Liaising with external bodies

* Supporting audits

* Focusing on Corrective actions the quality technician will work to reduce customer complaints and production scrap through formalised 8D processes. This will be supported by the quality manager and other senior members of the quality assurance team.

* Manufacturing liaison and reporting shortfalls to Manufacturing supervision.

* Training of Operators in all aspects of inspection techniques and equipment. Including the preparation of inspection equipment work instruction.

* Assisting in effective management of the entire measurement and test equipment calibration system.

* Recommending and pursuing (when sanctioned) improvements to both Inspection and Quality techniques and equipment.

* Translation of Customer quality requirements into detailed Manufacturing Instructions.

* Compiling routine final inspection trend analysis and reports.

* Compilation of Inspection report blanks.

* Raising and following-up QA NCRs.

* Compilation and submission of various Customer documentation packs

* System and process audits up to completion as scheduled.

* Supplier audits including reporting and recommendations.

* Supplier liaison on specific quality issues.

* Other related duties as determined by the Quality Manager.

The Candidate

* Quality qualifications (essential)

* A minimum of one year recent experience in a quality related function (ideally within a manufacturing environment)

* PC literate with competence in Microsoft Office.

* Ability to train employees in quality related subjects.

* Sound knowledge of inspection techniques.
