Acorn Recruitment is searching for an experienced Quality Controller on behalf of a specialist manufacturer based in South Wales.

With a 5 year business plan in place, the company will be growing rapidly to meet global demands. This is an excellent opportunity as there will be progression for the right candidate.

The company requires a Quality Controller who can test, document, troubleshoot and prepare their products. The successful candidate will have a creative, innovative approach to their work and will never shy away from offering frank observations and recommendations.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level.

This represents an excellent opportunity for the right professional. You will work closely with the Technical team whilst reporting to the QSHE Manager.

Quality Controller duties and responsibilities:

*Approving incoming Raw Materials, In-Process and outgoing products by performing
inspections by measuring dimensions using precision instruments.
*Assessing the product specifications and testing them with customer requirements.
*Ensuring product compliance with legal and quality standards.
*Assisting and / or training operators on visual acceptability, and measurement and
process procedures as required.
*Maintaining record of inspections and prepares list of defects, interacts with other
departments to ensure compliance with specification.
*Preparing administration and technical system reports.
*Maintaining safe working environment by following set policies and procedures.
*Liaising with customers regarding quality issues and compile quarterly reports.
*Assisting in maintaining ISO 9001:2015 system to maintain accreditation.

Required skills and experience:

*Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
*Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
*Good IT Skills and experience of ERP systems or similar.
*Understanding of process methods and procedures.
*Self- motivated and ability to work under pressure
*Excellent problem-solving skills
*Able to work in a team with all levels of staff.
*Experience of maintaining ISO systems and Quality Management.
*Good statistical and numerical ability.
*Must be able to motivate and influence workers.

Hours of work will be 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.
