We have an urgent need for a number of Learning Support Assistants to work with KS3/4 groups in our North Wales secondary schools beginning in September 2019. As a result, we are actively looking for classroom support assistants who would be assisting children with their lesson content. This is demonstrated through the accomplishments of the learners that have achieved not only academic results, but also through achieving their personal targets. This is an excellent opportunity for people with the right qualification and experience

In order to be considered for this post, you will be required to:

- Have experience of working with or volunteering with young people in wide range of settings

- Be able to provide a childcare reference from a previous employer

- Have knowledge and understanding of the different social, cultural and physical needs of pupils

- Have an interest in how young people learn and behave

- Provide appropriate role models of behaviour both in the classroom and around school

- Really care about young people but particularly those who find learning and managing their behaviour difficult

Your responsibilities will include:

- Promoting a caring environment and providing a high standard of care

-Ensuring effective communication with staff and students

- Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote active listening and development

- Maintaining high standards of safety

- Implementing students' action plans appropriately

- Taking part in recreational activities such as arts & crafts to develop their skills
