I am working exclusively on behalf of my clients who operate within a range of industries and are providers to some of the largest engineering companies worldwide. They are now looking for Trainee NDT Technician to join their team. Suitable candidates with have an engineering qualification, full training will be provided.

Job Summary

Following training, the main role of the NDT Technician will be to ensure efficient use of equipment and resources, to provide and maintain effective processing of customer components, without compromise to quality. This role will include process duties/techniques to meet production requirement under direct supervision.

Requirements
*Read, understand and successfully interpret work order requirements
*A customer focused 'can do' attitude (internal customers and external customers)
*Good interpersonal and communication skills - working with others to provide information they need to complete tasks and eliminate production delays
*Ability to work as part of a team - working flexibly and collaboratively to solve problems and exceed departmental targets
*Sound literacy and numerical skills
*Taking personal ownership and responsibility for being professional, punctual, consistent and reliable

Knowledge
*Working knowledge within manufacturing/production environment (desired but not essential)
*Ability to take direction, learn and apply knowledge in a changing operating environment
*Commitment to growing specialist knowledge and learning in a science based, technical, production environment

Experience
*Previous experience in a production environment (desirable but not essential)
*Experience in an operating environment (desirable)
*Experience working with non-destructive testing techniques (desirable)
*Experience working with engineering/ visual / technical plans (desirable not essential)
*Experience working in changing operational environment
