Work Wales Recruitment currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Supervisor to join our client based in Llanelli.

Job Title: Technical Supervisor


Principle Duties:

Supervise the day to day quality function of the business alongside Production Supervisors

To maintain all aspects of the Quality Management System as set by the Technical Manager

To continually improve standards, monitor hygiene, quality and food safety issues on a daily basis

Assist the Technical Manager in the investigation of customer complaints and investigation of supplier complaints

Record and manage daily incidents and strive to minimise reoccurrence by the correct implementation of HACCP, GMP and hygiene

Conduct and monitor GMP in the factory and report any non-conformances to Technical Manager

Completing daily attendance records and ensuring any health questionnaires are completed as necessary when production operatives are returning from ill health or holiday

Carry out glass brittle audits as necessary

Undertake calibration of key equipment/machines

Undertake product sample submissions for the laboratory and with Technical Management support, interpret results, maintaining the sampling matrix for reporting to Technical Manager

Assist with customer visits and third party audits

Assist the maintenance of the supplier approval matrix and liaise with commercial team to establish any new suppliers and product specifications/finished products, ensuring approval system kept up to date

Help identify staff training needs and ensure staff training files and matrix are up to date.
Promote health and safety awareness to all staff

Ensure all quality paperwork is completed in full and 100% accurate producing weekly reports

Using your knowledge to improve quality processes to reduce product rejections and complaints

To be an active member of the HACCP's team and to promote the management of CCP's within all members of the production team.

And the undertaking of any other reasonable function to ensure that safe and legal food products are manufactured by the company.

Assist with the audit and use available resource to obtain any requested information (including traceability). Ensure audit is professionally organised and in control.

Cover in absence of Technical Manager.

Relationships:

To be responsible directly to the Technical Manager and work alongside Production Supervisors
