ROLE: Junior Bespoke Data Analyst (Temporary until Feb 2020)

Are you a recent in Computer Science, Mathematics or Science related graduate or equally qualified by experience? Are you interested in a temporary role with potential for extension?

Within this role, duties will include:
* Data transformation using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SQL Server.
* Building insightful and meaningful data visualisations using Tableau enabling engagement teams to readily identify trends and outliers.
* Validating the integrity of data received - any issues will need to be raised to the engagement team or client as appropriate.
* Performing reconciliations to verify the completeness of datasets provided to you. This task will require a degree of problem solving and the ability to understand basic accounting concepts which will be part of the training provided.
* Assessing processes and designing suitable applications and or solutions that solve the needs of the engagement team, enhancing and optimising existing processes where appropriate.
* Producing result sets for engagement teams using packages including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SQL Server.
* Working closely with colleagues in different offices around the country to deliver specific bespoke requirements throughout the lifecycle of an engagement.
* Assisting Risk Advisory teams to investigate issues with the analytics platform or bespoke solutions.

To be successful you will:
* Degree educated with a 2.2 or above; preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics or Science related. However consideration will be given to other skills.
* A or AS level in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computing or IT is preferred.
* 5 GCSEs grades A* - C, including minimum GCSE B grades at Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
* Individuals should be enthusiastic, have evidence of a flair for problem solving and troubleshooting and have high attention to detail.
* A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including formulae such as SUM, COUNT, IF, VLOOKUP, IFERROR).
* Good communication skills both verbal and written.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team both locally and remotely.
