This is a fixed term contract for 6 months. The Learning and Development Officer role is in an organisation where people are at the very heart of the business and are committed to working together for the good of the community. It has a progressive learning culture where the ongoing development and continuous improvement of its staff are paramount.

Working closely with the Head of HR and OD, you will -
* Be the main point of contact for the organisation's learning, training and development programmes
* Assist in implementing the company's L&D strategy
* Co-ordinate the development, delivery and evaluation of L&D programmes
* Organise new starters' induction
* Monitor and ensure Apprenticeships and Traineeships run smoothly
* Design and deliver in house briefings, workshops, course material, handouts, manuals
* Support Head of HR and OD in delivering change programmes to enhance performance
* Roll out the annual performance reviews
* Assist in designing and co-ordinating employee surveys across the organisation
* Liaise with training providers to source suitable training programmes
* Collate and analyse training data
* Review and update policies.

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant L&D experience, having worked in an HR/L&D environment. Also, you will be customer focussed, have worked with a broad range of colleagues, have excellent people skills and be well able to forge strong working relationships. A sound proficiency using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
