Acorn Global Recruitment Ltd is exclusively working with PMB Battery Technology UK Ltd to support them in the opening of a brand new subsidiary operation in South Wales.

PMB Battery Technology UK Ltd is the UK Subsidiary of PMB Defence, an established Australian submarine battery specialist that have been producing main storage batteries for the Collins Class of Submarines since 1989. The business has evolved to become a dependable supplier of engineering services, and battery and niche product solutions for current and future submarines.

PMB Battery Technology UK Ltd is making a significant investment in Wales and opening its new South Wales operation after successfully securing a major sustainable contract within the UK defence industry.

Covering different administrative and management duties for the office to include operations, HR and finance.


*Define and implement new policies and procedures.
*First point of contact for incoming calls, mail, publications and correspondence.
*Type and proof correspondence including letters, memos, proposals and reports.
*Organise logistics and shipments of goods both to and from the office.
*Organise team meetings, travel and accommodation (venues, hotels, co-ordinate
calendars and travel arrangement, etc.).
*Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the office and building as a whole.


*Provide administrative support in relation to HR and recruitment.
*Assist in the onboarding/induction process for new hires.
*Review and amend employee handbook and policies.
*Monitor and implement HR processes.
*Ensure employee files are accurate and up-to-date.
*Track absence including sickness and holiday.


*Financial management including data entry and monthly reporting.
*Draft monthly sales invoices.
*Credit control including chasing debtors and ensuring swift payment of invoices.
*Accounts Payable, including matching invoices against cashflow and/or purchase.
orders; payment of invoices; and dealing with supplier queries.
*Responsible for employee payroll.

Other information:

*Previous experience running an office within a manufacturing environment.
*IT Literate in MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
*Experience across HR and Finance duties.
*Professional and confident communicator both written and verbal.
*Organised, efficient and excellent time management.

This role will be based at PMB Battery Technology UK Ltd's new facility located in the South Wales Valleys. The position is initially for a 6 month temporary period but will be reviewed with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
