Product Support Manager - Salary £35,000 - £45,000 based on experience plus benefits - Monday - Friday 37.5 hours - Free Parking

You will be working for a globally recognised manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Cardiff.

A very unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced, pro-active and innovative Product Support Manager to join our clients' market leading organisation. This person will manage a small team of engineers who are responsible for supporting existing products as well as developing bespoke solutions based on existing design for specific customer requirements.

Your new role:
* Provide support to customers, technology partners and suppliers regarding products and applications
* Ensure H&S standards are maintained in line with the Framework, procedures and safe systems of work.
* Provide leadership and direction to the Product Support Team
* Undertake staff appraisals, identify training requirements and manage team performance and maintain motivational levels of engineering teams
* Delivery of Bespoke product designs in line with required timescales
* Maintenance of Engineering data - drawings, master item data, BOMs
* Production support - material reviews, acceptance criteria
* Creation and maintenance of Production drawings
* Ensure DFM is incorporated in new and existing products

What you'll need to succeed:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* A wealth of experience in a Mechanical background, machining and product development
* Extensive experience of using CAD software
* Strong people management skills
* Have a positive, driven, motivated hands on approach to work
* An ability to identify best practises, improving processes and team performance
* Be able to lead and mentor a team
* Comfortable in decision making and accepting accountability on team performance
* Experience with product costing and margin analysis
* Ability to multi task and manage a number of projects simultaneously
* Report and proposal writing skills
* Advanced IT skills (particularly MS Excel)
* Experience of using ERP system
* 3D modelling
* Mechanical power transmission design
* Conceptual and detail design / analysis / testing

What you'll get in return:
* Salary of £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience
* Full time permanent position, 37.5 hours

* Pension up to 7.5%
