Overall Purpose of the role:


We are looking for a motivated individual to own commercially and data driven insight to optimise our delivery service within the Iceland Foods Ltd head office in Deeside. The Logistics Insight Manager role is a brand-new opportunity and will require the successful candidate to provide analysis of a broad range of data from the business including store, online and home delivery data to establish the most efficient and optimised delivery model.


The Logistics Insight Manager will look too continually optimise and fine tune all data assumptions and develop our delivery proposition. The successful candidate also use insight from our data to make recommendations for change within the business and then be responsible for communicating them clearly to the wider business.


Day to day duties of the role:

* Own and develop the mathematical modelling to generate delivery windows and staffing hours

* Identify opportunities through data driven decisions to increase the customer offering and overall sales

* Identify opportunities to widen our offering to the customer

* Provide and communicate insights at all levels across the business

* Engage cross-functionally to agree key milestones for delivery

* Continually challenge all ways of working, to innovate and develop processes and technology for maximised future growth

* Optimise the delivered sales resource planning on a store specific basis

* Update and maintain all relevant data within the delivered sales databases

* Utilise relevant data to drive commercial decision making

* Support the ongoing cost control analysis to deliver all financial targets & drive all initiatives

* Provide clear and actionable insight for all key stakeholders


Essential skills required for the role:

* Data modelling and analytical skills

* A good knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis software

* The ability to deliver accurate, relevant and timely information, based on solid research

* An understanding of SQL (the ability to write basic queries)

* Excel knowledge

* The ability to gather, interpret and combine data from a multitude of sources and formats
