Job Summary

A great opportunity has become available to join HR's Resourcing Team in Cardiff as a Resource Consultant. This role will focus on the volume recruitment demands within the Customer Service and Sales Operations across Cardiff and, on occasion, Birmingham and Hove. As a result you may be required to travel to other locations if necessary. You may also be required to support other job families and specialisms on occasion.

2019 will be an exciting year for our Customer Service recruiters as we drive forward several new initiatives to help improve our candidate journey and hiring process.

Role Duties

A significant amount of your time will be spent speaking to candidates who have applied for opportunities with us. As the first and key point of contact for candidates you must have a natural ability to build rapport, be personable, and able to talk clearly and with enthusiasm when describing the role and the business as an employer.

You will be responsible for screening and qualifying the candidates, guiding them through the process and delivering the good and, at times, the bad news. Whatever the outcome your role is to ensure that the candidate experience has been a positive one.
*

You will be responsible for sourcing candidates for the vacancies and campaigns you manage - be it through responding to applications received via our careers site, writing compelling job specifications and adverts on job boards, engaging with local agencies and other forums to generate interest and attending Careers and Job Events.

Supporting with Assessment Centres and the Selection process will also play a key part to your role. You will work with the hiring community to ensure a smooth and well planned selection process is in place. You may also be required to support on the day with Assessment Centres. At the least you will ensure Assessors have what they need so that they, and the candidates, have a positive experience.

As an HR function we are heavily governed by HR policies, processes and employment law. You will be required to quickly learn the parameters we operate under and apply these on a day to day basis.

Skills

*

An in-house recruitment background would be highly desirable or experience in volume customer service hiring.
*

Ideally you will have exposure to selection methods, interviewing and/or supporting recruitment activity within your current or a previous role.
*

Experience of working in a customer centric environment is essential.
*

An excellent communicator, who is able to establish rapport quickly and can confidently liaise with a wide range of stakeholders - internally and externally.
*

Experience of working within a fast paced environment, often managing high work of volumes and juggling multiple priorities.
*

IT literate. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and able to use and navigate recruitment and HR systems.
*

Capable of comprehending and adhering to complex processes and employment law.
*

A positive, upbeat and can do attitude is essential.
*

The successful candidate will be expected to travel when necessary to support with Assessment Centres and careers events.
