This is a key role for a financial analyst to support the Global Technology Operations Finance team. The role covers managing the cost base within the business unit and also reviewing project performance

Your future duties and responsibilities
The role requires strong time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to explain financial accounting concepts to non-finance people via effective business partnering.

•Strong cost base accounting and project accounting.
•Business partnering with Directors, project managers and key client stakeholders to maximise performance of the contracts and advise on business impacts
•Drive cost base efficiencies within the business unit.
•Help lead the monthly end process with the Senior Financial Analyst to ensure project revenues are in accordance with corporate revenue recognition policy
•Where required support bidding activity (sales pipeline/growth) including preparing or reviewing bid models
•Managing working capital by working closely with Directors and business management taking pro-active steps to manage reduction in aged debt
•Assisting with investment business cases.
•Commercial awareness in terms of understanding the sensitivities of decisions and impact to short and long term lifetime positions as the role will involve some client interaction
•Support the Finance Director and Financial Controllers on Ad-hoc finance projects or project related work

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will be a recent graduate or a part qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or completing your final exams.
You should be an effective communicator both written and orally and have an analytical mind in order to understand the numbers. A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be advantageous. Being able to manage your time is imperative in order to support both your team and clients.
