Mechanical Supervisor - Facilities Maintenance

Newport, South Wales

We are looking for an established Mechanical Supervisor to join a growing estates department. In this role you will be responsible for building a small team and managing this on a daily basis. You will be responsible for performing preventitive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the site.

In this role you will need to be familiar with the design and the layout of all areas of your site and the wider facilities. There is a large client facing element to this role as your presence will be expected around site on a regular basis.

For this role, it is essential to have an understaning of the following:

* Mechanical systems and plant rooms

* Heating and air-conditioning

* Air Handling Units

* Schematic drawings and plans

* BMS systems

It would be desirable to have an understanding of the following:

* Lifts and escalator systems - including rescue of stranding persons

* Kitchen equipment, including refrigeration, ovens and ancillary equipment

* Electrical distribution boards and systems.
