Circa £17,000

Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for our client that is based near the Welsh Borders who are looking for a HR / L and D Assistant to join their growing team. The purpose of this role is to provide administration support in the training department to ensure employees get the development they need to be successful in their roles.

You will be responsible for:

* To provide comprehensive Employee Development Assistant support with some aspects of HR

* Able to take initiative to complete complex tasks such as coordinating the logistics of various training programs across the business quickly and autonomously

* Develop strong working relationships and maintain a high level of professional standards in written and verbal communications

* Become a positive and trusted resource for the HRM team in all internal and external interactions

* Display strong critical thinking/problem solving abilities and adaptability in potentially ambiguous situations, while maintaining a positive attitude towards accomplishing objectives in a timely manner

* Proactively organize and manage logistics for various training events. This includes setting up classrooms/webinars, class registrations, sending and monitoring calendar invitations and coordinating attendance tracking for all instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training classes

* Administer the Learning Management System, including tracking of class course offerings, attendance, completion and issuance of certificates

* Collaboratively assist the Learning and Development and HRM team in ensuring that the company is providing the employees with the relevant training requirements

* Collaboratively assist with the creation and monitoring of training performance metrics by compiling data from the system

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a bright and driven individual who is keen to work in a busy HR department. We would ideally like someone who has worked in a HR or L&D department or similar; or might be studying towards their CIPD qualification. You must be well organised and comfortable juggling multiple tasks at any time, and be a good communicator at all levels in the company.
