I am working with an award winning law firm based in Cardiff who are looking for Senior Property Lawyers / Team Leaders to join their rapidly expanding team during an exciting growth period.

The Role

Reporting to a Senior Property Lawyer / Team Leader, you will be responsible for:-

Carrying out all legal aspects on residential property transactions with the close supervision/ guidance of your Team Leader

Ensuring due diligence in all areas of processing a residential property transaction. To include:

- leaseholds

- freeholds

- registered properties

- unregistered properties

- Types of transaction to include:

- purchases

- sales

- remortgages

- auctions

- new build

- right to buy

- help to buy

- shared ownership

- transfer of equity

- lease extensions

- deeds of variation

Coaching and Mentoring

• Provide day to day coaching and mentoring to:

o Property Lawyers

o Associates

o Legal Assistants

o Members of the remortgage team on complex mortgages.

• Provide support for other team members.

• Work to build solid relationships with other team members and CD staff at all levels to enable the transaction to be dealt with proactively, efficiently and effectively.

Essential Skills:-

• Council of Licensed Conveyancers, Solicitor or CILEx

Ideal candidates:-

• Previous relevant experience of a minimum of 3 years is essential

• Excellent communication skills, well-spoken and personable; able to get on with diverse personalities

• Friendly and approachable

• Reliable and consistent

• Helpful and positive attitude

• Flexible attitude to working practices and demands

• Responsible, professional and trustworthy

• Good time management and organisational skills

• Good literacy and numeracy skills
