Following a recent positive inspection by CIW we are now looking to strengthen our Children's Services further and become a centre of excellence for social work. We are therefore looking to recruit Social Workers who have the right values and commitment to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment. You must possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or its predecessor and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales.

Golden Hello payment for experienced social workers

For talented, experienced social workers joining our Children in Need Team and Childcare Assessment Team during 2019 we are offering a Golden Hello payment of GBP 3,000.

Who is eligible for this allowance?

To be eligible for this allowance you must be able to demonstrate significant levels of relevant post-qualifying experience, usually obtained from working for at least three years' with complex child protection and care proceeding cases.

This payment will not apply to those transferring employment within the council or those who seek to re-join the council after having left its employment from a related job within the past year. Further details available on Pembrokeshire County Council's vacancy site for this job.

Social workers (2 years post qualifying) working within the Children in Need and Childcare Assessment teams also currently receive a market supplement of GBP 3000.
