Opportunity for a project engineer to join a growing international organisation who provide custom built solutions to industry. The position will involve working from an office location in central Cardiff undertaking both project focused duties and hands-on electronic work.

The engineer will report into the technical manager for the company and will be trained and developed to potentially take over their role from them as they grow and develop through the company.

The client is willing to consider either someone who has knowledge and hands-on expertise with electronic and IT related products or an ex-member of the armed forces / military (Royal Signal Corps, etc.) who have had hands-on fault-finding experience with electronic and IT equipment.

Project engineer duties will include:

* Ensuring the company is able to provide customers with clear, accurate and timely information
* Providing pre-sales technical support for all sales activities
* Analysis of customer requirements and facilitating design and development through to production
* Production of technical documentation to support projects
* Undertaking hands-on testing and fault finding of company products within the workshop

To be a successful project engineer, you will need:

* Technical knowledge relating to electronic and IT equipment
* A technical qualification in the field of electronics or IT
* Hands on experience of fault finding with electronic equipment
* Flexibility to travel within the UK for customer meetings, potentially at short notice

In return, the project engineer will receive a salary of £35,000-£45,000 (Dependent on experience) + pension, healthcare, bonus, etc.

The company offers flex-time with core hours that you must be onsite being between 9:30am and 4pm. Most members of staff start between 7:30am and 8:30am finishing sometime between 4pm and 6pm.
