An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful team as a Tutor/Assessor in Childcare. The successful candidate will assess and deliver to learners within the Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CCLD) sector via work based learning and part-time programmes at levels 2, 3 and 5. The post will also include the delivery and assessment of Essential Skills qualifications.

You will be instrumental in supporting the learner to achieve the corresponding qualification and work with employers to ensure organisational and individual goals are met.

With experience of working in the child care sector and an understanding of the qualifications, you will ideally possess a level 5 qualification. An A1 Assessor award would also be desirable together with the competence to deliver and assess NVQs up to level 5. Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) literacy & numeracy qualification is essential for this post.

With excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong ILT skills you will have the ability to deliver sessions to a high standard in order to motivate, inspire and transfer knowledge to the learner. With attention to detail you will be target driven with a strong focus on quality.

This post has been deemed Welsh Essential at Level 3 (see Welsh Language Level Descriptors attached to job description) however we would also be interested in candidates who are not at this level but would be willing to work towards it.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than applications submitted in English.
