Key to this sustainability and growth is the position of Sales Engineer working actively as part of an established team with substantial mature systems.
This Internal Sales Engineer role will be predominantly office based at the facility in South Wales with daily high level demands to interact with the machine shop whilst reflecting constructively upon historical Sales/Costing data with a clear direction towards improvements that will reflect upon both OTIF and Costs.
This is a progressive marketing-to-sales role, a high degree of competence will be required to be successful. It will be necessary to gain detailed knowledge of our capabilities, services, applications and procedures through working with existing team members to capitalise on sourcing and closing opportunities. A need to market and sell the services supplied and a sound mechanical/technical grounding is needed from the outset.
The sales element of the role will be in support of the BDM and responsibilities will be progressively transferred.
Scope of the Role Internal Sales Engineer
To progressively support the BDM in customer development and by provision of quotations/order generation for all related services and products
To be familiar with and become knowledgeable in all aspects of manufacturing of our products including the regular interaction of our established supply chain
To review past sales/costing history jointly within the team to assess opportunities for improvement
To gain knowledge on the standards and guidelines associated with customer demands by way of reviewing customer specific technical documents
Attend off site meetings, conferences and exhibitions in support of sales and marketing activity
·To develop into a key commercial figure within the business with the knowledge of all relevant aspects of our services and associated standards. Developing customers and bringing profitability and growth.
Personal Attributes and skills
Engineering qualification with evidence of machine shop methods and processes
or Sales/Marketing qualification with evidence of engineering/technical bias
Ability to interpret and develop data profiles to enhance Sales/improvement opportunities
Sound knowledge of ERP systems and ability to interrogate such detail
Enthusiastic, confident and dynamic, Strong communication skills
Team player who is comfortable in both an individual mode as well as an interacting mode
Attention to detail is critical - assessing customer requirements during RFQ stages is high
Travel to work from Cardiff, Bridgend, Llantrisant , Caerphilly, Newport, Pontypridd,
