Ty Ynysawdre, situated in Ynysawdre Village, is a state of the art Extra Care Service and Residential Care facility that opened in 2018. 

Our extra care model allows frail older people to live independently in their own self-contained apartment, with access to a home care service permanently based on site. The scheme will also contain a residential care unit operated by the local authority, which we will have a duty to service and maintain.

The scheme consists of private apartments, hairdressing salon and communal space for social activities, spa room and restaurant facilities.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, customer-focussed individuals willing to help us provide an excellent day-to-day housekeeping service for our residents.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the Scheme.
  • Ensuring all equipment used is well maintained and in good working order and to report repairs.
  • Ensuring that all rooms and common spaces are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the building.
  • Providing a laundry service to the Residential Care unit.
  • Maintaining stock sheets of all cleaning supplies.
  • Ensuring the storage and use of all cleaning materials conforms to the Scheme’s COSHH policy.

What skills do I need to have?

You will be required to have a real passion for service, and a desire to build a successful career for yourself within our organisation. Ideally, you will have some experience working within a professionalcleaning/housekeeping environment.

You will enjoy working as part of a team and have a positive attitude to supporting your colleagues and the residents. You will also take pride in cleanliness and organisation on shift, understanding that Health and Safety essential in the workplace.

  • You will be working 20 hours per week, typically 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. This will include working weekend and bank holidays, including Christmas.
