Technical Engineer
Exciting opportunity created for a Technical Engineer to join and work in a well-established Manufacturing facility based in Ebbw Vale. This is a new position, which could present the right candidate with diverse opportunity within the working environment.
With a working week consisting of 37.17 hours the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a fast moving environment with pre-planned as well as responsive maintenance.
Opportunity may also arise to work on improvement projects for factory automation systems.
For the right candidate within the right attitude who settles in well, there is opportunity in for further training and education.

Management of Design Review projects from conception through to handover. Responsible for co-ordinating and implementing these projects throughout their duration. Responsible for allocation and registration of drawings within the drawing control system.

1. Act as a project leader to ensure designated projects are completed in a manner that will meet allocated objectives for time-frame, quality, cost, HSE and energy targets
2. Will devise and oversee control systems / documentation to ensure project objectives are met
3. Liaise with other departments, senior management, suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with legal, customer requirements
4. Put in place the appropriate infrastructure to provide effective operations following project completion
5. Devise and oversee control systems to monitor operational efficiency and performance of systems and materials
6. Actively participate in continual improvement programmes
7. Shall control the registration and issue of all drawings
8. Strict adherence to the requirements of the documented management system for quality, HSE and energy
9. Has the authority to stop a process immediately if continuation could result in HSE, Quality or energy standards being compromised
1. Enforce strict adherence to the company’s H&S systems.
2. Ensure and promote adherence to the company’s energy standards and policies, utilise best practice through design and commissioning of new equipment to ensure energy use and waste reduction are considered.
3. Ensure adherence to the company’s environmental standards and policies. Educated to Degree level with Project control experience
