What is special about this opportunity?

To be a great Floating Support Worker, with our team you would need previous experience in working with people with autism. A good understanding of housing related support and welfare benefits or awareness of issues faced by people at risk of homelessness would be extremely useful as well.

We offer you a flexible role where you will mainly work Monday to Friday and are available to offer support between 9am -5pm and will only be required to work very occasional weekends and will not work bank holidays. Your appointments will not be scheduled on a rota, so you will manage your own weekly caseload and can do your paperwork at home.

You will have comprehensive induction and shadowing to ensure you are confident, ongoing training and a manager only a phone call away.

The role gives you the opportunity to empower people to live better lives therefore very rewarding. You will have the autonomy to shape the persons support in line with their changing needs. You will be required to work with people with a variety of backgrounds and support requirements, experience of dealing with challenging behaviour an understanding or experience of working with Autism would be an advantage.

This is a permanent post. Actual salary based on 20 hours a week is £10,358

For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for. You will need to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

The role will be varied and involve working with vulnerable people in their homes and temporary accommodation to prevent homelessness and develop skills needed to maintain their tenancies, change negative behaviour, maintain their health and wellbeing, progress to independent living and make appropriate choices.
