Junior JavaScript Developer Oxford
We're looking for a junior JS developer who is keen to join an innovative start-up specialising in healthcare technology based in Oxford. This is an exciting time to join the organisation, and having left the commercial research phase they are now looking to implement the necessary processes to enable the business to scale and grow.

Ideally, we're looking for someone who is keen to learn, is curious and wants to dig into areas that need fixing and improving! The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring GUI improvements to customers optimally and at pace.

In terms of experience we're open minded in terms of tech and back ground, we're looking for an understanding of web standards, design patterns, and browser compatibility issues however this will be a varied role, so other than that we're looking for -
* JavaScript (1-2 years of experience)
* Source control using git (1-2 years of experience)

It would be an advantage to have experience (be it commercial or personal projects) in any of the following areas:
* Node.js
* ECMAScript 6 or above
* React or similar frontend application libraries
* Webpack
* Cordova
* SQLite or other SQL databases
* Amazon S3
* Test Driven Development
* Working in a small team or start-up environment
This position is joining the User Experience team and will be implementing new functionality in the existing Node.js backend and web-based frontend, which is used by customers through desktop web browsers and mobile devices.

This position is fundamental to evolving the user interface rapidly in response to user feedback, while ensuring quality through appropriate testing and release processes. It's a great opportunity to learn as well as hone your coding skills through supportive, friendly code reviews.

If you are looking to build your software development skills and experience, this role will immerse you in an experienced team who will help you to grow. You may also enjoy taking part in related activities such as designing mock-ups and visiting customer sites to understand user needs (with usability studies or informal discussions) and gather feedback on designs.

Ultimately, the right person for this role is pragmatic and self-motivated and someone who is comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities may change quickly.
