Pobl care provides a wide range of high quality services for older people and people with learning and physical difficulties and mental health problems across South, East, West and mid Wales. We provide care and support to enable people to live as independently and positively as possible. We provide care and support in people’s own homes and in residential and extra care schemes as well as smaller shared accommodation schemes.

This post will be based in Exchange House, Newport and is fixed term for one year.

Responsible for: The recruitment and development of the Relief Bank Staff

What will you do?

Recruit, lead and develop a team of workers to provide cover for planned and emergency absence of workers supporting people living in supported living, independent living and extra care

Work with service managers to understand and identify the requirements for relief staffing for each area of the organisation.

Work creatively and innovatively to recruit and oversee the development and training of relief staff, particularly drawing from the communities in which the organisation operates.

Oversee the recruitment of staff, ensure that they are supported and developed in their role and to provide informal support and 1-1s. They will also work closely with service managers and Pobl recruitment team to ensure the organisation maintains a relief bank that can fulfil the requirements of the services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised manager that can lead on developing the relief bank staff list. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and able to work creatively to meet the requirements of the Pobl services. You will be comfortable and confident in communicating with people from a variety of backgrounds as well as having the organisational skills to manage a varied and dynamic role. This is a role that requires a considerable team working skills as you will be liaising with staff, managers, customers and partners so enjoying working as a team player is essential.
