Full time, 35 hours per week

Ref number 02997

This is a home based role covering Wales and the SW of England with extensive travel within the region.

Leonard Cheshire is recruiting for a Regional Digital Inclusion Coordinator to support the development and delivery of our digital inclusion provision in Wales and the South West, ensuring that more disabled people are able to experience the benefits of getting online and being digitally included.

You will work with our Community teams to deliver the programme, recruit volunteers and enhance our reach, impact and central assistive technology resource.

The programme gives disabled people access to accessible computers through providing access to IT equipment, either in their homes or in accessible, community based computer centres. You will coordinate the needs assessments and support for all partners and clients, promoting the programme and take up of on-line learning.

The role will work closely with partners, volunteers, internal and external stakeholders within the region, providing them with advice, guidance and consultancy to enable them to become more confident in supporting disabled people to use IT and get online as well as supporting disabled people directly.

The role will also be responsible for collating accurate data to support monitoring, evaluation and development, including monthly reports as well as quality and impact data.

An understanding of digital inclusion, accessible IT, adaptations and/or assistive technology is essential and applicants will have to demonstrate experience of supporting disabled people to use IT and becoming digitally included. Experience of recruiting and managing volunteers is also advantageous.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working with a variety of people, who has good attention to detail, who is self-motivated, takes their own initiative and who is confident using Microsoft Office packages and databases.

Leonard Cheshire welcomes applications from all sections of the community and is open to job sharing for this post. A satisfactory disclosure check is required for this post.
