HR Assistant (12 months Fixed Term)

Due to a number of projects within our HR team, we are looking for a HR Assistant to join us on a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 12 months. You will work 36 hours a week with the option to work a 9 day fortnight.

This role will be based at our Hafod Head Office in St Hilary Court, Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff and you will be joining our friendly and established HR administration team who support all 1,300 of our Hafod employees. You will be joining our busy, fast paced HR function at a time of change where you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior HR Assistant you will support the full remit of generalist HR Administration for the whole employee lifecycle. This will include issuing offer letters and contracts, on-boarding new starters, calculating holiday accruals, processing leavers and updating changes as they arise.

You will ensure that the HR system is kept up to date and that all queries are dealt with promptly or escalated as required.

This is a full-time opportunity paying an annual salary of £20,688.You will work a 36 hour week, with the option to work a 9 day fortnight.

The ideal candidate will have

- Experienced in HR Administration with the ability to organise your time efficiently

- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including Maths and English C or above

- An eye for detail

- An accurate and methodical approach

- Experienced in using Microsoft Office packages including Excel and you will have experience of using databases or HR systems
