Job Title: Compliance Lead
Location: Dyfed Cake 3, Memory Lane Cakes, Cardiff
Work Days: 4 on 4 off 6pm-6am (Nights)
Salary: £19, 437

We are excited to be offering an opportunity to become a Compliance Lead. The successful candidate will be part of operations, undertaking an important role within the business. We are looking for people that are looking for career progression at Memory Lane Cakes and to ensure that we meet our quality and food safety standards on site.

Purpose of the Role

The Compliance role is to ensure quality, food safety, legal standards and customer requirements are monitored and achieved for all products manufactured, whilst ensuring that Health and Safety requirements are met.

Some of the Role Key Accountabilities (including but not limited to) are:

  • To complete due diligence paperwork for all product produced in the production area, ensuring full traceability information is accurate and fully completed
  • Ensure all lines are fully cleared at the end of running one product prior to moving onto the next product
  • Comply with the Concession and Hold systems in operation, ensuring that all materials are used within shelf life unless a documented Concession has been granted by a Quality or Technical Manager
  • To conduct documented quality assessment checks of all product being produced within set timescales
  • To conduct food safety checks ensuring all products leaving site complies with customer and legal requirements i.e. metal detection, labelling
  • Meeting all legislative requirements and adherence to food safety and Trading Standards by following policies and procedures and relevant paperwork
  • Meeting all legislative requirements and adherence to Health and Safety Standards guidelines by following process paperwork and procedures
  • To highlight any poor operational standards and any processes not adhered to, and physical and environmental contamination risks
  • To ensure accuracy and legibility of all records
