What is special about this opportunity?

By joining Gwent Pathways Support Service, you will be aiding in the resettlement and rehabilitation of MAPPA clients in the community. You will help achieve this through personal and tailored support plans; offering tenancy-led needs support, with a focus on work, education and training.

You will play an essential part of our team where you’d be required to promote and deliver a service to those clients leaving custody, completing a community sentence or with an offending background residing within Gwent. You will assist Housing Advice Officers and Probation Services in the prevention of homelessness.

You will contribute to the success of the Pobl Group, which is moving from strength to strength see Being a part of this is highly rewarding. Surrounded by an experienced team you will have a good foundation for a career in support.

This is a permanent post at 37 hours a week.

For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

How can I make a difference?

You will enable vulnerable people in a variety of different settings to manage their tenancies/license and move towards greater independence within the community. You will provide a flexible and individually tailored support that promotes inclusion, encourages aspiration and improves wellbeing.

You will:

* Enable people, who may have experienced many challenges and disadvantages in their lives, to make a positive and sustainable change to feel confident and move on to their own accommodation
* Build on your skills to develop innovative methods to helping people to resettle into their own accommodation
* Work with people to truly make a difference in their lives
* Use your skills and talents to engage with people
* Develop your networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies
