Technical Support Engineer - Cardiff - up to £21,000 per annum

We are currently on the lookout for a Technical Support Engineer to join a rapidly growing, market leading technology company, based in Cardiff. The ideal candidate would be a team player, confident and have good attention to detail. Working as part of a fast-paced team in a dynamic and fast growth company the candidate should also be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise, with good communication skills.

As the Technical Support Engineer, you will have a varied role and gain the Main duties include:

-Speaking directly with customers on the telephone, in person and by email
- Provide telephone support to customers experiencing technical difficulties with CCTV equipment
- Setup and testing of equipment to find technical issues
- Investigating and resolving of technical issues
- Speaking with the technical team to find resolutions to ongoing issues
- Documenting technical fixes for the internal team and customer base
- Training of equipment to customers (once competent)
- Assisting in the workshop where necessary
- Using SAGE/CRM to document technical calls and search serial numbers
- General technical / workshop duties where required

As the successful candidate you will need a wide range of technical experience and be confident picking up and delivering on new projects and technologies.

To be considered for the role the Technical Support Engineer will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience:

-Good Knowledge of IP CCTV systems and devices
- Highly confident with network focused technologies
- Previous experience in dealing with customers
- Working knowledge of a PC and software (Builds, diagnosing faults, repair and configuration)
- Previous Technical Support experience
- Excellent communication skills

This role requires efficient and organised working practices. The ability to speak with customers and find a timely resolution to their case is essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to customers changing needs and the drive and willingness to go the extra mile' for customers at all times.
