An exceptional new opportunity has arisen for a passionate Junior Sales Executive to join a successful and expanding team in Cardiff. Joining during a period of dynamic expansion to match their continued successes, within this role you would have an opportunity to expand our customer's sales pipeline both here in the UK and internationally. Working in a highly technical environment producing highly complex and award-winning software solutions, our customer is looking to hire an enthusiastic Sales / Business Development Executive to drive their ongoing sales efforts. We anticipate that the Junior Sales Executive will spend much of their time speaking with customers and prospective customers explaining the benefits of their products. Initial contacts are usually made by phone and then followed up with face-to-face meetings. The role would focus primarily on generating business opportunities to develop sales from new and existing accounts.

IT Sales is highly skilled and this role requires an individual capable of understanding the technical features and seeing how these translate into real commercial benefits. Good commercial acumen is needed with a strong ability to see the business case for requiring a system from the end-users point of view. This is also essential to being able to spot opportunities for new business and convince the prospective customer of the benefits to him.

We anticipate that the successful applicant for this position will be tasked with the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Lead Management - follow up on leads from various events such as conferences or trade shows and other marketing campaigns to qualify prospects and secure initial meetings.
*research, identify and qualify new prospects making appointments for the Business Development Manager to visit potential clients.
*develop expertise in demonstrating, presenting and selling all software products within the customer's product suite.
*qualify customer decision-makers and ensure necessary ones are involved in the demonstrations and meetings.
*assist in the preparation of customer proposals.
*assist with presenting and selling proposals to customers.
*assist with the preparation of responses to tender documents in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner.
*process incoming department calls, provide general information. Provide clarification on proper product for customer application and guidance on customisation options and their solutions services.
*participate in managing various weekly / monthly reports generated for Marketing and Sales analysis.
*administrative duties within the department:
- keep contact management system up to date.
- answer correspondences received from clients / prospective customers.
*participate in functions where sales personnel are required to represent the company and present their technology (e.g. trade shows or conferences, training days, seminar days).
*provide accurate reports for Directors on current sales team performance and future prospects.

We anticipate that the successful applicant for this position will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*committed to career in IT / technical sales.
*any previous exposure to a Sales function within an IT / Technical environment would be beneficial.
*strong interest in IT and in the application of computers to solve business problems.
*have exceptional ability to understand complex technical solutions and to be able to find the right solution for the customer.
*must be an exceptional communicator, with a strong personality, capable of directing conversation with clients.
*must be a co-operative team worker, comfortable working with colleagues from Sales, Marketing and Technical teams alike.
*must be trustworthy and professional and able to convey to customers that they are representing a professional and trustworthy organisation.
*must be secure in their knowledge and abilities - has to be able to handle rejection without taking it personally.
*needs a positive ‘can-do’ attitude with a focus on repeating successes.
*needs to have a commercial business-oriented attitude to customers, without being exploitative.
*needs to promote the company brand when dealing with clients or prospective clients - brand values include value for money, knowledgeable, professional, reliable and honest.
*constantly seeking to gain a greater knowledge and understanding of company's products, the marketplace and sales techniques.
