Who are we?

The Intensive Support Package Service is a specialist team who work with individuals assessed as having complex needs/behaviours that challenge, and Autism. The aim of the team is to provide support to clients to enable them to live independently.

What is special about this opportunity?

We have both full and part time, and day and night positions available. We can discuss following interview which would suit you best.

This will not be a set rota, you will be required to work mornings, weekends, evenings, sleep ins, and waking nights.

How can I make a difference?

You'll have the opportunity to:

* Work with people who are assessed as having complex needs.
* Work in accordance with a Positive Behavioural Support approach.
* Support individuals to integrate as fully as possible within a community setting
* Liaise with family members, health professionals and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
* Tailor your support to the individual to enable them to become as independent as possible.
* Work every other weekend.

The ideal candidate will:

* Embrace the opportunity to complete a Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Positive Behavioural Support.
* Have the ability and confidence to work in accordance with a support plan.

* Have a great deal of resilience.

This service will be supporting an individual who at times can display challenging behaviour, both verbally and physically. As part of your induction training you will receive in depth training and support to handle these situations, however you will need to be physically capable of implementing taught breakaway techniques including potential safe holding. This will be assessed through the occupational health department during your recruitment.
