What is special about this opportunity?

Pobl’s Prison Advice Team is committed to delivering sustainable housing and support solutions to vulnerable people who are involved in the criminal justice services. The majority of your time will be spent delivering a service within the prison environment and can involve working across a range of settings in South Wales and Gloucestershire.

Our Pobl teams provide a high-quality homelessness prevention service to people entering custody to ensure that we maximise their ability to sustain their tenancies whilst in custody. You will work closely with Local Authorities, landlords / letting agencies and benefit agencies to ensure good working relationships and partnership opportunities are developed.

You will contribute to the success of the Pobl Group, which is moving from strength to strength see www.poblgroup.co.uk. Being a part of this is highly rewarding.

This is a permanent post. Actual salary based on 18 hours a week is £11,189

How can I make a difference?

You will contribute to prevention of homelessness by encourages those entering custody to prioritise retention of existing accommodation, and support and signpost people leaving prison to identify housing options available to them. You will play a vital role in developing relationships with appropriate support agencies and provide information and advice to the PRS landlords to encourage retention of accommodation.
