Opportunity for an assistant buyer to work with a global manufacturing company who have sites across Europe, America and Asia. The business has a range of market leading products and are also in the process of introducing a new product which is gaining extensive global interest in their marketplace.

Your responsibilities as the assistant buyer will include:

* Monitoring of stock levels and supplier lead times to identify any issues
* Raising purchase orders as appropriate
* Monitoring order intake and report on supply chain constraints
* Contacting suppliers to progress orders
* Inputting data onto the MRP / database

To be successful in your application for the assistant buyer position, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

* Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
* MRP / ERP experience
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills particularly with EXCEL

In return, the assistant buyer will receive a salary of £20,000 – £24,000 (dependent on experience) + pension (5%), healthcare, etc.
