We have fantastic opportunities for a committed and enthusiastic Laundry Assistant to join our team in our Ty Coch Nursing Home, Cardiff.

Ty Coch is a part of Linc Care and operates in the not-for-profit sector.  Situated in the peaceful, leafy suburb of Llanishen in the north of Cardiff, Ty Coch has been providing nursing for more than 20 years. The modern, purpose-built home has 63 ensuite bedrooms, two well-furnished lounges, a dining room and a dedicated entertainment lounge all of which provide a place to come together to socialise, participate in group activities, or entertain visitors. Residents can also visit the coffee shop which has complimentary tea and coffee making facilities allowing them to enjoy refreshments together or with visitors.

Registered with the Care Inspectorate for Wales (CIW), Ty Coch provide the highest standards of accommodation and delivers 24 hour person-centred care and support, with highly experienced Registered Nurses and Care Assistants.

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated Laundry Assistant to provide a high quality laundry service throughout the Nursing Home.

You will work on a rolling rota which does include weekends.

Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that clothing is laundered with care and returned to each elder in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring residents clothing is labelled
  • Developing a positive relationship with all elders, staff, relatives and other visitors to the home by becoming an integral part of the housekeeping team.

What skills do I need to have?

You must be friendly with excellent communication skills and be able to manage multiple tasks through to completion.

You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, and ideally you will have experience in a similar role.
