We are looking to recruit someone with the right experience and values into a key position within our Care & Support services. You’ll be an experienced Care Home Manager with the passion to ensure that the quality of service provided meets both Pobl and legal standards, doing this by leading and managing staff teams, budgets, and having positive relationships internally and externally. We operate along a continuum of care and support that covers nursing and residential care, extra care, a wide range of domiciliary care services to different client groups. We have many years of experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, people with physical disabilities and people with complex needs, as well as providing care and support for older people.

How can I make a difference?

This is a front-line leadership role within a 40 bed residential care setting. You'll be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations and all that entails. The Care Home has a range of services with younger adults with physical disabilities, long term residential care and people with dementia.

You will ensure that staff deliver person-centred care to people with a range of needs ensuring that people have choice and control in their life.

Who we are looking for

An inspiring manager, who is self-motivated, committed, reliable, and passionate about the quality of care given to our residents. You will be actively involved in all care aspects within the Home, alongside the managerial decision-making responsibilities. You need a thorough understanding of mental capacity and deprivation of liberty, a strong understanding of the business requirements, and a passion to take the home to new levels of quality.

You will have the following experience / qualifications:

* Significant experience working as a Care Home Manager
* Worked with older people, people with dementia or physical disabilities.
* Demonstrable experience of having successfully delivered person centred services focussing on outcomes not tasks
* Experience of managing, supporting and developing a team of employees
* Knowledge of recent legislation and its impact on Care Homes – The Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act, The Regulation and Inspection Act
* NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent predecessor qualification) in order to register with SCW
