Database Administrator

3 Months initially - £300 p/day

We are seeking someone with versatile DBA skills and a mix of the following, unusal mix of experience if possible:

-Geo sharding
-Optimizing queries using spatial indexes
-Monitoring tools.
-Aggregating (to gather analytics) a constant stream of time series geo data from lots of IOT devices.
Creating services to aggregate daily IOT data
-Deployment processes
-Horizontal scaling
-Vertical scaling
-Database architecture for dealing with vast amounts of data - billions of records
-Parralel queries
-Time-sensitive queries

Nice to have knowledge in up and coming technologies such as:

-NewSQL technologies using Postgres: Citus Data, TimescaleDB, Apache Spark
