IT Administrator (2nd Line Support)

Your commitment...

  • Provide second line IT support
  • Install & maintain Windows Server operating systems
  • Troubleshoot networking issues on varied networks
  • Carryout IT audits and health checks of software, hardware and infrastructure at client sites
  • Diagnose and repair IT software, hardware and infrastructure issues via remote software
  • Liaise with 3rd party contractors to diagnose and repair IT software, hardware and infrastructure issues
  • Maintain an asset register of IT software and hardware
  • Monitor backup solution, including testing and restoring where necessary
  • Monitor and manage the protection of all hardware, including (but not limited to) antivirus and spyware
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades of software and hardware
  • Manage and support email systems including Office 365m Exchange, POP and IMAP
  • Manage / renew domain names including sub-domains, web forwarders and DNS
  • Manage, update and close all IT jobs on CRM system within agreed SLA’s
  • Contribute to the IT strategy
  • Contribute to the marketing and social media strategy
  • Manage or participate in projects
  • Prioritise client workload within a multi-client environment
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues and clients

  • Have previous experience working in an IT Support role
  • Have previous experience configuring and maintaining remote monitoring software (Connectwise, Autotask)

The deal...

  • 35 hours per week over 5 days - Monday to Friday
  • Up to £25,000 per annum
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and increased annual leave for each year of service
  • This position will initially be based in our Newport office whilst you go through the induction process, then relocating to our Cardiff office from 1 December 2018 or sooner
  • As much tea and coffee as you can drink and the occasional donut
