The Organisation

Wales & West Housing is one of the leading housing providers in Wales. We operate across 15 local authority areas, providing quality affordable homes and services to more than 19,000 residents. We are a major Welsh employer, with over 400 staff at WWH and 230 staff in our two subsidiary companies - figures that are growing year on year. We have been established since 1965, and we have grown from our first scheme of 49 flats in Cardiff, to over 12,000 properties across Wales. We have three main offices situated in north Wales, west Wales and our headquarters in Cardiff.

This has been a big year for us at WWH, not least because we were ranked as the top Welsh not-for-profit organisation in the 2018 Sunday Times Best Companies list and fourth in the UK overall, we have been in the Top Ten for the last seven consecutive years. We are really proud of the fact that our staff love working for us; much of this is because of the unique culture we have here at WWH. Our aim is to create a place that everyone wants to work in and environment where every staff member feels supported and valued. Our values are really important to us at WWH and you will hear us talk a lot about being a values led organisation - our values drive the way we behave.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a self–motivated, well organised and highly efficient Executive Personal Assistant to support our Directors Team.

This post will work alongside the existing PA’s to the Directorate, providing all necessary support to the Resources Director and Operations Director.

We are looking for someone who genuinely understands the demanding nature of a Director’s role and who will take a personal pride in the quality of support they offer.

The successful candidate will be highly computer literate, numerate and capable with spreadsheets, as well as being skilled in carrying out targeted research and preparing presentations and reports with a close attention to detail.

You will need to be a natural influencer and communicator with a track record of making good judgments and prioritising issues well, to ensure that Directors are always informed and one step ahead of the game in their time management.

This role is highly visible and so a professional attitude and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential, as well as the ability to turn your hand to anything as and when needed.

If you think this may be the role for you and would like to informally discuss the opportunity, please ring Hannah Adam, Executive PA to the Deputy Chief Executive on 029 20415349.
