What is special about this opportunity?

You will have an opportunity to work with young people who are at the start of their journey to independence. You will encourage the people we support to deal with issues that may threaten their homes including improving budgeting skills, addressing debts, maximising income through appropriate benefits or entering employment, life skills and household management, accessing support with alcohol or substance misuse, mental and physical health and anti-social behaviour.

The role will be varied and involve working with vulnerable young people at their own pace to motivate them to make appropriate choices, re-integrate to society and change negative behaviour.

There are various hours available for this post. The contract is for up to 12 months initially.

Recruitment for this post is continuous with interviews taking place on a fortnightly basis.

For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

Who are we looking for?

To be a great Support Worker, you don’t always need previous experience or qualifications. A good understanding of housing related support and welfare benefits or awareness of issues faced by people at risk of homelessness would be extremely useful in the role.
