What we are looking for

The Person

  • Excellent written and confident verbal communication skills

  • Logical and analytical approach

  • Good numeracy and analytical skills, comfortable handling, analysing and presenting data

  • Attention to detail/accuracy

  • Natural curiosity to interrogate data and follow through to behaviours/ talking to end users to understand their browsing and usage behaviours

  • Proven Excel and Powerpoint skills and a passion to develop further

  • Able to multi-task, organise and prioritise workload to meet competing deadlines, consistently takes the initiative and comfortable working both independently and under supervision

Key Responsibilities;

1. HR/ Payroll System and Reporting

  • Gain an overview of HR and Payroll processes and an awareness of categories of data held within iTrent

  • Understand interface data flows and sources of the data, developing skills to analyse exceptions/ errors reports

  • Learn from in-house manuals how to create, modify and schedule reports and enhance knowledge through formal Business Objects and advanced Excel training

  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports as requested by HR, Engagement, Learning & Development teams and also Payroll and IT; ensuring at all times that new reports are tested and cross checked for accuracy

  • Learn how to perform large scale data loads and analyse success/exception files.

2. Intranet – Engage

  • Collect and analyse statistics to monitor usage of the site (e.g. page hits and user journeys) and its content (e.g. frequency of updating and popularity) to inform Engagement team strategy, share best practice amongst divisional content contributors and enable Steering Group monitoring of intranet objectives. Frequency of analysis will vary from daily to quarterly.

  • Respond to ad-hoc enquiries for data/analysis e.g. following key news stories, mandatory reads, etc.

3. Careers website/ATS

  • Learn how to run and build reports in Google Analytics in order baseline and then improve Google rankings

  • Analyse impact of website content e.g. key word on Google rankings;

  • analyse conversion of initial web ‘visits’ through to application stage; report drop-off and bounce rates and monitor improvements when content changes are made

  • Analyse effectiveness of digital advertising and job boards on application rates through to job offer

4. Other

  • Track agreed metrics/KPIs and use learning to identify improvements and make recommendations

  • Central contact for report queries from HR, Engagement, L&D teams and IT (HR’s core system, iTrent, populates user details to all Redrow’s key IT and business systems)

  • Develop and maintain a broad overview of functionality of HR/Engagement and L&D platforms and respective user interaction; recommending most effective ways of engaging employees and managers
