What is special about this opportunity?

Countisbury House provides accommodation and support for individuals experiencing complex mental health needs. You will be joining a small established staff team to cover maternity leave for 9 months, you will have full support of the team to achieve positive outcomes. You will work with the clients to encourage them to take responsibility for their lives to develop basic daily living skills which include financial capability, domestic tasks and managing medication. Our Pobl teams provide support to people to develop the key skills needed to live a meaningful and independent life within a community setting, in the community and achieve positive progression. You will play a vital part in enabling people to achieve their goals and empower them to lead independently.

For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.

With the guidance from your Recovery & Inclusion co-ordinator & Team Leader, you will empower and support the residents to identify areas of needs and ensure support is delivered to support and facilitate recovery focused outcomes.

You will:

* Work with people to truly make a difference in their life
* Use your skills and talents to engage with people
* Support people to achieve their potential
* Develop your networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies
* Complete individual recovery and support plans.
* Identify and implement risk assessments for individuals you support.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be:

* Excellent communication skills, with an enthusiastic and positive outlook
* The desire to support people living independently in their own flats
* Ability to respond to people’s emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs
* The confidence to work alone in a sometimes challenging environment, using your own Initiative
* IT literate.
* Flexible (due to pattern of work).
* Motivated.
