What is special about this opportunity?

Western Bay Youth Hub team provide a 24-hour temporary housing support in the wider Swansea area for young people aged between 16 and 21 years old. We provide advice and guidance on training, education and employment. We support young people to develop independent living skills to enable them to move onto independent sustainable accommodation. This an exciting time to join us with the development of our youth provision.

Actual salary for this post based on 21 hours a week is £8,657 going up to £8,874 after successful completion of the probation period.

A Support Assistant is an exciting role that focuses on clients’ individual needs and aspirations. No two days will be the same. You will help clients find the key that unlocks their potential so that they can reach their goals.

You will:

* Use your skills and talents to engage with young people

Initiative and the ability to motivate others are also key and most importantly, the belief that everyone can achieve great things, given the right skills, assistance, choices and opportunities.

You will need to be comfortable with variety, problem solving and change and be able to stay calm under pressure.
