Global Gardens Project Outreach Coordinator (Part Time)
Location: The Trinity Centre, Newport Road, Cardiff, CF24 1LE.
Duration of post:
Currently funded July 2018 – Sept 2019.
Salary:
£12 per/hr
Hours:
7.5 hours per week; some out of hours working required.

Are you passionate about supporting intercultural communication and understanding? Would you like to get involved in a community growing project? Global Gardens Project are recruiting an Outreach Coordinator to work to develop links with new and existing project partners and participants.

Background

Through the shared activities of gardening, cooking, arts and crafts the aim of the Global Gardens Project is to bring together refugees, asylum seekers and the local community to work together and celebrate ecological and cultural diversity. We have an allotment site where we are cultivating an organic community kitchen garden, celebrating crops from around the world.

Outreach Coordinator

The Outreach Coordinator role will assist us in delivering and further developing links with potential and existing partners and participants. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working with diverse individuals and communities. The post-holder will work at least 7.5 hours per week at £12 per hour. The post will be managed by the Global Gardens core team and will be based at the Trinity Centre, as well as other community settings and locations relevant to the project, including the Global Gardens growing site. Through outreach and partnership building, the post-holder will support the development of Global Gardens activities and programmes. The role will include recruitment of new participants and development of a programme of monitoring and evaluation.
